Dallas, texas, July 18, 2008: Edgemere retirement community recently presented “Spirituality in Health: Mind-Body Medicine,” a presentation designed to educate seniors and adult children about the positive impact spirituality can have on mental, physical and emotional health. Dr. Raghavendra Prasad, medical director of The Plaza Health Services at Edgemere and board certified gerontologist, spoke about the impact mental and emotional well-being has on physical health and recovery. In addition, he discussed the ways in which a healthy spiritual life can impact all other areas of health. Diane Wheeler, administrator of The Plaza Health Services at Edgemere, introduced Dr. Prasad to guests at the event.
“Not only is Dr. Prasad a highly qualified medical doctor, he is kind, patient, and willing to devote the time necessary to developing relationships with his patients to ensure that they receive the best care possible,” said Wheeler. “We are honored to have him serve as medical director at The Plaza Health Services at Edgemere.”
